Set Up A General Blog? Feb 16

I am thinking of setting up a general blog for all kinds of topics, from my daily rants to hubby’s work to my online business to deals for Toronto hotels to my grandma’s pets.

Wow, it’s for sure that I will never run out of ideas!

You know, my niche of this blog is really too narrow. Everything must be related to vacations, holiday places and travel deals.

No wonder I always have writer blocks when I am here!

Need A Break From Writing Travels & Holidays Feb 16

If you notice, you’ll see that I haven’t written much about vacations and deals for the past few weeks. Ya, I need a break from writing travels and holidays.

I have been writing a bit of natural fat burners here and a bit of family stuffs there. It’s fun, I must admit.

No wonder some blogger mamas can churn out a blog post every day! There are so many topics to write, from their kids to their pet dogs to their knitting projects.

Thanksgiving And Christmas Means More Belly Fat Nov 11

You know, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year not only mean more deals and gifts, they also mean more belly fat and weight gain!

I know it’s for sure that I will put on some weight starting now through January next year. Yummy! Thinking of Thanksgiving and Christmas desserts, appetizers and side dishes now is making me drool! :-)

Speaking of foods, I should go and find some new menus and turkey and pie recipes to try out this holiday season.

Tips For Planning A Florida Theme Parks Trip Mar 06

When it comes to theme parks, you don’t want to spend your vacation standing in line with half the world. If possible, try to plan your Florida theme parks trip away from holidays, school vacations and the summer.

Good bets include January to mid-February and the end of August through mid-December. You’ll find smaller crowds, better deals and generally more hospitable weather. The downside is that the parks close earlier, schedule fewer shows and events and sometimes close attractions to perform routine maintenance.

There are now just too many theme park options in Florida to reasonably cram them all into one trip. So, take your time and enjoy the parks, whether it’s for one day or ten days. Don’t try to experience everything; you can always come back, right?

Even if you have a five- or six-day trip, don’t plan to spend every waking moment in a theme park. Pace yourself and spend some down time by the pool or indulging in other slower-paced activities. Your time on the attractions will be the better for it.

There are many deals, offers, packages and promotions for Florida Last Minute Holidays or All Inclusive Holidays online. Just beware of offers that sound too good to be true: “Free trip to Orlando! Airfare included!” Many so-called great deals come with a high-pressure time-sharing-presentation string attached.

Money Saving Weekend Escapes To The Chicago Water Works Visitor Center Dec 15

One of the money saving weekend escapes is the Chicago Water Works. The Chicago Water Works is a visitor welcome center that offers many attractions.

1. The center is fully staffed during the day with knowledgeable, friendly guides.

2. The adjacent restaurant offers good Italian sandwiches for a tad more than you’d pay at a fast-food chain.

3. Ask about free discount books that contain buy-one-get-one-free coupons.

4. Check on discount tickets for Broadway productions. We paid $25 USD/person to see Michael Nouri in South Pacific. There were plenty of seats available on a Sunday night. more…

Just because you are planning to go on vacation does not mean you have to take a vacation from saving money. The good news is you don’t have to. There are so many vacation bargains and deals out there, it’s difficult not to save money with a little planning.

Theme Park Savings. Just like other businesses, theme parks and amusement parks are in competition with each other to attract customers and that is good news for the bargain hunter. Do your research. Theme parks offer membership benefits, package deals and discount tickets to get you to visit their park instead of the competition.

Major cruise lines put a halt to bargain hunting. All of the major cruise lines — Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Celebrity — have all changed their policies restricting the deals that travel agencies and online travel sites can offer. But discounts and bargains can still be found. You have to know who to ask.

What to Look for When Shopping for Luggage. There is a lot of cheap luggage on the market, but a lower price doesn’t always mean it’s a bargain. Here are some tips on what you should consider before choosing luggage for your next vacation.

Cheap Eats – Save on Dining Out. A major expense during a vacation can be the cost of eating out most of the time and prices are notoriously high in major tourist destinations. There are ways that you can save while eating out, whether you are on vacation or just taking a break from the kitchen.
