Despite the recession, New York City was still the biggest draw for tourists in the United States last year. And it strives to be the same this year.
I think keeping New York safe and clean during the recession is one of the reasons why it appeals to tourists from all over the world.
Friends who had been to New York and stayed at new york budget hotels were surprised that New Yorkers were such nice people.
I believe so. 
Speaking of my blogging pal’s wedding and shopping in Las Vegas, I have started to worry for her husband-to-be’s bank account.
Las Vegas is every shopper’s paradise, with most retailers opening twenty-four hours a day. I wonder if my blogging pal will break her hubby-to-be’s bank account.
Las Vegas is known to offer world class retail therapy to satisfy the most dedicated luxury shoppers and bargain hunters like my blogging pal.
I am sure she has the information about where the top places to shop in Las Vegas on everything from beauty products to clothing accessories to kitchen sinks to bathroom decor items.
This is going to be her best chance to enjoy world class retail therapy without using her own money.
Woo Hoo! It’s Labor Day weekend. Are you traveling this Labor Day weekend?
You know, it’s expected that the number of Americans traveling this Labor Day weekend will be lower than it was last year.
Well, one of the reasons for this obvious decline is poor timing. Last year, Labor Day fell on September 1, allowing for a long weekend trip before a new school year started.
This year, however, Labor Day falls on September 7, when the school year has already started for many kids.
I wonder why my cousin still wants to work in the States since he knows how bad the economy is and how many Americans have lost their jobs.
One of my blogging pals and her family have to move back this month. She was retrenched while her hubby had a pay cut.
According to my cousin, there are still companies offering IT jobs there. He came across quite a lot of job offers, so he submitted his job applications.
Well, in a way it’s good if he really gets employed by a US company.
Hubby and I had just come back from our neighbor’s house. They invited us over to their place for dinner this evening.
Unfortunately, the atmosphere turned from warmth to embarrassment in the mid of the dinner.
Well, the wife raised the gambling topic (again) that the husband hated very much.
I know what had happened during the couple’s stay at Riviera hotel last year. The wife told me on the day she was back from her trip.
The stay at the hotel in Las Vegas should have taken them back to the early days of Vegas casino history, but it’s not. The husband lost a few thousand dollars in the casino!
Just read the latest update on the 153 passengers of the US Airways flight 1549.
Most of the passengers of the flight have been released from local hospitals after examination or treatment.
Apparently, there were 23 Bank of America employees on board the plane.
I almost shed my tears when I read that a lady with her baby was crawling hard over the seats to be rescued.
It’s a relief that every passenger is safe and sound. I can get back to completing some Leptovox articles without worrying about the safety of the passengers.
Hubby and I were out searching for digital signage the whole day.
It’s weird that no one talked about the crash of US Airways flight 1549 when we were at the store. Maybe the store owner didn’t even know about this breaking news.
Thank God that all 148 passengers, as well as the 5 crew members, are all alive.
It was reported that the crash of US Airways flight 1549 was likely caused by a flock of geese.
My goodness! A flock of geese which almost killed 153 lives!
