You know, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year not only mean more deals and gifts, they also mean more belly fat and weight gain!
I know it’s for sure that I will put on some weight starting now through January next year. Yummy! Thinking of Thanksgiving and Christmas desserts, appetizers and side dishes now is making me drool! 
Speaking of foods, I should go and find some new menus and turkey and pie recipes to try out this holiday season.
It’s not surprising that some of my blogging pals resist taking any vacations this summer.
Their reasons? Well, most say they fear being jobless after they return from their vacations while others can ill-afford time away during hard economic times and have to work to make ends meet.

My family and I have been considering one of the one-week Gatlinburg vacations in Great Smoky Mountains despite the widespread of A-H1N1 flu.
We are tired of confining ourselves at home most of the weekends; we miss the cool mountain breezes and white sand beaches.
When is A-H1N1 flu going to stop?
Oh, I am so looking forward to the screams and thrills at the Dollywood theme park and enjoyment in the hot tub at the balcony of a rental home!
My sisters and the husbands love traveling with their kids. This is completely different from some blogging pals who never ever want to bring their kids along.
For my blogging pals and their spouses, the kids are a pain in the neck!
My sisters love sharing with others how they travel with kids, what they pack, how they handle temper tantrums, how they do long flights and how to afford a family vacation once or twice in a year.
I am glad that my nephews and nieces are not a bunch of pampered kids that need to be cared for throughout a trip or vacation.
Instead, they have been trained to take photos during a vacation with their small personal cameras. Wow, personal cameras?!
They also use small spiral bound albums to journal about vacation memories while on the road.
My sister just beeped me to inform me that she and her family are coming to visit hubby and me this weekend. What a last minute weekend getaway!
Oh, no! They will arrive very early tomorrow morning. This means I have to complete updating my health blog with some new appetite suppressant products, writing articles for my credit card blog and finding new products for my bedding blog. All must be done tonight!
My sister wanted me to make a full body massage treatment appointment for her too. Well, this is because I always tell her how good my Thai massage therapist is.
Hubby asks me to confirm if I want to have a short break in the city next week. Since most of our buddies will be away having holidays with their family members, we might as well go for a short break.
I am so jealous. Some buddies have their family vacations in Paris and Switzerland. Wau, my dream country – Switzerland.
Hubby and I will travel to the city again next week. My uncle’s deteriorating health condition worries us very much. If possible, we want to see him as often as we can. We don’t want any regret.
What hubby and I can do is just praying to God more often. Pray that God is healing my uncle even though his health gets worse.
We believe in miracle. God, give us miracle. Heal my uncle so that he can see his daughters graduate from college, get married, give birth to grandchildren, enjoy family vacations at Outer Banks …
With increasing gas and food prices, I wonder if people still spend money on vacations. Do you?
My buddies around me have decided not to have any oversea vacations this year. If they feel like needing a break or a getaway, they will consider local trips which are cheap and great for the whole family.
Oh, I nearly forget my car insurance which is going to due soon. I had better get it early before my next trip to the city with hubby.
