Durable Suitcases & Luggage For Short Business Trips April 8, 2008

When it comes to buying luggage, the material, stitching, pockets and wheels must withstand weather and rough handling.

The zippers must take hundreds of opening and closing. Pull tabs must be securely attached and have holes for padlocks. Shoulder straps and carrying handles must be rugged and comfortably padded.

I had no problem choosing a suitcase for my husband. I bought a Samsonite Aspire Lite Expandable 21″ suitcase for my husband last year after failing to find a similar Briggs and Riley suitcase.

He travels frequently, and was in need of a new small carry-on bag for short business trips. The 21″ turned out to be slightly smaller than his previous carry-on, and didn’t have as many storage pockets or an area to hang his suit. But he is happy with it overall.
