Thanks to increasing all inclusive resort deals and holiday packages available on the market that people like my sisters and friends who earn average income can still enjoy holidays in lean economic times.
When the economy took to a bad turn last year, my sisters and their husbands were faced with pay cuts. Luckily, pay cuts, not job losses.
Lower pays meant less disposable income for them at that time, thus they had to stop all their yearly or twice-yearly family vacation plans.
This year, however, they are relieved that they are finally able to enjoy their yearly vacations again.
They were told by their colleagues that they could search for all inclusive deals on the Internet. They managed to find money saving all-inclusive holiday deals that included all their accommodation in Runaway Bay Jamaica or Bahamas resorts, meals and local drinks for a couple hundred dollars per person per week on the Internet.
A few hundred dollars per person per week? Wow! And guess what? Their all-inclusive packages also included flights and transfers.

I have got quite a few baby announcements out of the blue.
Why wasn’t I told about their pregnancies at all? Maybe it’s because I am living in another state now that my buddies and my buddies’ buddies have totally forgotten to inform me.
Anyway, so long as they have sent the birth announcements, I am fine. Just congratulate them and mail them some baby gifts.
Oh, no! Hubby and I must go shopping for some baby gifts tomorrow and mail them on Monday.
I wonder why my cousin still wants to work in the States since he knows how bad the economy is and how many Americans have lost their jobs.
One of my blogging pals and her family have to move back this month. She was retrenched while her hubby had a pay cut.
According to my cousin, there are still companies offering IT jobs there. He came across quite a lot of job offers, so he submitted his job applications.
Well, in a way it’s good if he really gets employed by a US company.
I used to hate washing the toilet bowls of the vacation home and also my own home. 
But after being told of some cleaning tips and using the right detergent, I find that washing toilets is not as horrible as I used to think.
Dirt and Mould on Tap Rims. While you can clean the rim with a scouring pad and dish detergent, you’ll have to endure strenuous scrubbing and the inconvenience of re-washing the pad.
And sometimes, there will still be some blackish residue left, especially if your basin is light colored.
Solution: Squirt the detergent two or three times on dirty rims and leave for ten minutes. Give the area a thorough flushing, and voila! Your basin will be spotless and look as good as new.
Talking about jewelry, rings are still my favorite if compared to earrings and necklaces.
Each time hubby asks what I would love to have as my birthday gift or Valentine gift, ring is my first choice.
Ring, especially diamond ring, is completely fabulous to wear for any occasion and goes well with everything.
He can buy ring without earrings or necklace, but he can’t buy earrings or necklace without any ring.
Hubby is thinking of replacing our existing 21 inch television with one of those 42 inch plasma televisions.
With the home loan installments still overdue, I think hubby has to consider putting off the idea of buying a 42 inch plasma TV for the time being.
Of course, there is an exception. If he works full time, he can buy the TV once he gets his first month’s pay.
He is considering my idea now.
I don’t know about you but after the festive season, spent with family and friends, I always need some “time out”.
Don’t get me wrong. I love my family and I treasure my friends. But sometimes, like Christmas puddings, you can have too much of them. That feeling usually overcomes me at the beginning of a new year.
This is the time when I like to travel solo. Of course, I travel solo a lot for business, but it’s different when you’re traveling for pleasure.
